ABOUT "Horn-ebration": Virtual Horn Day

The IUP Horn Studio and University of North Carolina at Greensboro Horn Studio partner to present

"Horn-ebration": Virtual Horn Day on October 17, 2020. Comprised of activities geared towards horn players of all ages and abilities, there's something for everyone! This day's events will be comprised of sessions on a wide variety of topics, presented by pedagogues and performers from across the Horn-playing field. The day will run on Zoom from 8:45-3:00 and be divided into hour blocks, each with its own theme. Everyone will meet in one general room, and then divide into breakout rooms. Moderators in each room will be available to answer questions via chat, and also to move participants between rooms, should they wish to pop in on different sessions. “Talking Slots” will be scheduled in 40 minute blocks at the top of each hour; the time after that will be open for discussion. Someone will be on hand to lead folks in yoga/stretching in between sessions; that “down time” will also allow folks time to chat with each other, get a snack, and take a break as needed.  Sessions can encourage participants playing and engagement. Each session will be recorded, and then made available to the public after the fact, for a period of time, in order that these events can reach as many people as possible.

All sessions are free and open to the public; please visit the link below to sign-up and receive access to the Zoom link.
